Frequently Asked Questions

What is Integrative Psychotherapy?

Integrative means I can draw on a range of different ideas within therapy and coaching to find the right fit for you. I believe psychoeducation is essential for sustainable change so I will explain  what we are doing and why to make you you can embed as much as possible within and between sessions. I offer gentle challenges, and create a safe space for “aha” moments that help you grow. As an integrative therapist and coach, I’m here to walk with you as an individual and bring my experience, training and insight to you. My therapeutic skills help us dive into tough topics while my coaching tools will give you the confidence and strategies to move forward and reach your goals sustainably.

Who and what issues can I work with?

What happens in a session?

I will welcome you to the space, whether that is online, on the phone or in-person and I will make sure you are comfortable physically and feel able to speak freely. It is important that you feel safe at all times and that means having somewhere that is confidential without distractions to allow you to focus on yourself and your goals.

We will revisit your goals and how you have been since we last spoke and I will invite you to share whatever you would like. I will welcome everything you have to say and all of your emotions. If I feel we need to challenge some of the processes that I am seeing for you I will share that. I check in with you during each session and at the end so that you always feel supported and that this journey is one that you truly own from the outset.

We might agree on some helpful ideas to try with curiousity in between sessions but there is never pressure or "homework". Everything happens at a comfortable and effective pace.
